"You humans. We always knew you'd come back, just like the body always returns to the soil. You have to understand. It was a misunderstanding, of sorts. Our war was long, our hatred great. Unlike you, we are not gifted with the ability to forgive and forget. Instead, our grudges only grow with every generation, fed by the tales of when we finally banished you to Earth. Here, in this galaxy, everything you ever believed to be a fairytale, does exist. I find it amusing that you somehow turned it all to folklore. The fact of the matter is this, however. Unless you prove yourselves to my kind, we will eradicate you without question. You're a sinful breed, dirty and greedy, and we were all glad to be rid of you. Sadly, I cannot claim that you are all evil. That is all that has stopped them thus far. Keep in mind though, I won't take your side..." - Ienna, after the rescue of the Survivors from the US EAGLE 109.
Book One, Earth's Fall, introduces Nathan and his father John, two mechanics hired by the government to aid in the building of ships that will take what they believe to be the most important people off the face of the Earth before it destroys itself, in the hopes of finding another planet. In return for their help, they are granted safe passage as well aboard the ships. When they launch, however, Nathan finds himself awakening on a planet so sophisticated that he cannot begin to comprehend. Here, not only does he find technology beyond his wildest dreams, but he also finds creatures he thought to be pure fantasy. Dragons, elves, demons. Not all is well, though, it would seem, for the ancient races hold a grudge against humanity. However, Nathan finds more pressing matters when his fathers ship crash lands on an outer planet, a planet consumed by darkness now. There, the survivors of the ship remain, awaiting a cruel hand that will be dealt to them by the inhabitants. Death, or capture for judgement. Nathan must travel to the planet and rescue his father, but the pure realm of Gaia holds more evil than anyone knows...
